A growing global manufacturing and technology organization is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to join its Human Resources team in the Raleigh/Knightdale NC area. This individual contributor role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of payroll and benefits administration across North America while partnering with business leaders and third-party providers to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accurate and timely processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls across multiple states and locations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with payroll service providers, overseeing payroll controls, tax filings, compliance requirements, audits, and regulatory updates.
- Lead the administration and continuous improvement of U.S. and Canadian health and welfare benefits programs, including annual renewals and open enrollment activities.
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors and ensure the accuracy of HRIS data, file feeds, enrollments, and benefits invoicing.
- Support benefits integration and implementation efforts associated with acquisitions and business growth initiatives.
- Administer retirement programs, including 401(k), non-qualified deferred compensation, and pension plans, ensuring compliance, testing, audits, and timely funding.
- Partner with payroll providers, recordkeepers, and internal stakeholders to resolve employee questions and deliver a high level of customer service.
- Prepare monthly workforce metrics and headcount reporting while supporting compliance initiatives and regulatory filings, including ACA and Form 5500 reporting.
- Participate in special HR and payroll-related projects as needed.
